The Mood for the Master Bedroom Decor

I think the master bedroom will be the most challenging room to decorate because there’s so much that I want to incorporate since it is the biggest bedroom we’ve ever had.

I want it to be an escape after a long day. I want to relax in a space that feels like a homie hotel with a dreamy bathroom! I also want a nicely organized closet that makes me feel like Carrie Bradshaw…without that crazy price tag.

There will be a lot of DIY to be done for this room and even though it will take a significant amount of time to complete it, I am excited! It is one thing to see your plans on a screen and will be another story when I get into the space, so I cannot wait to see how it will come together.

Even the paint colors are something that I cannot wait to see! I am choosing: Sparkling Emerald, Golden Granola, Onyx Black, and Rich Navy from Home Depot in a satin or high gloss finish. Because the room gets a lot of sunlight, I can get away with dark colors. I do not think I want to paint the entire room in the Rich Navy, but I do think it will look amazing to have all but the focal wall in that color.

Sparkling Emerald, Golden Granola, and Onyx Black are meant to be more accent pieces while also pulling from the room decorations and metal finishes. The only thing that I have been wrestling with so far is whether to keep the carpet or put in tiles since we have a dog. I have not had carpet in a long time, so I am not sure how easy or hard the upkeep will be. I am in the market for a carpet vacuum cleaner that will not be hard to maneuver especially since we also have stairs.

Even though we live in Florida, I have always wanted a fireplace! Mainly because I just love the look of mantels and how it can be decorated. I have a great idea of how I want to DIY the mantel…. using a vanity mirror and tiles! It sounds cool in my head and on my scribble paper.

I am sure it sounds crazy, but I guess you will have to check back again to see an update! I am so glad that I can bring you guys along with me on this journey!
